Graeme Lafferty – CEO
Graeme serves as Chief Executive Officer of Redhill Aerodrome. He brings extensive leadership experience, having completed 23 years of service with the British Army prior to building a career in recruitment consultancy and health and safety management.
He is formally qualified in Airport Operations, Aviation Compliance, and Aviation Accident Investigation. Graeme joined Redhill Aerodrome as Facilities Manager, later progressing to Aerodrome Safety Manager, before being appointed CEO.
Ian Hamilton – Finance Manager
Ian came out of semi-retirement to join us as Finance Manager early in 2025. He brings substantial experience in both accounting and management at the highest level, having been Finance Director at Poundworld prior to their sale to private equity, amongst a diverse portfolio of business sector appointments.
As well as being an ACCA recognised accountant, Ian has always had an interest in aviation and has been an instrument rated pilot since 2002.
Philip Wright – Aerodrome Manager/Senior Air Traffic Controller
Philip is responsible for the day to running of the Air Traffic Control Unit. He is required to liaise with the CAA Safety Regulation Group on a regular basis. Philip is an On The Job Training Instructor (OJTI), ATC Assessor and ATC Incident Investigator.
In additional to his ATC qualifications Philip was a helicopter pilot and held a fixed-wing private pilot’s licence.
Daniel Woolsey – Facilities Manager and Safety Coordinator
Dan joined Redhill Aerodrome in August 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience from the education sector and facilities management. His broad skill set ensures the continued delivery of high standards across the Aerodrome.
Having trained as an Electrical Engineer through the Ministry of Defence, Dan built a successful career in Facilities and Estates Management, overseeing operations for federations across London.
Aubrey Smith – Senior Aerodrome Fire Officer
Aubrey joined Redhill Aerodrome in 2008 as a fire-fighter/fueller. After a few years he attended the International Fire Training College at Teeside and qualified as a Low Category Supervisor. On completion of this course, he became Crew Manager on Blue Watch.
In October 2024 Aubrey was promoted to Senior Aerodrome Fire Officer, he is responsible for the day to day running of the fire service and fuelling facilities at the Aerodrome.
