Noise Abatement Procedures
The noise abatement procedures set out below apply to all
aircraft using the aerodrome. All times listed are local time.
(i) Runway 08/26 is the preferential
runway direction.
(ii) Multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft will
normally use Runway 08R/26L. Runway 18/36 is only to be used when conditions
preclude the safe use of Runway 08R/26L.
(iii) Circuit training by multi-engine fixed-wing
aircraft is not permitted on Runway 18/36.
(iv) Circuit training by any fixed-wing aircraft
is not permitted after 1830 hours on Saturday and Sunday, except for
night flying, or between the hours of 1030 - 1200 on a Sunday.
(v) Circuit training by multi-engine fixed-wing
aircraft is not permitted after 1830 hours on a Saturday, except night
flying, or at any time on a Sunday.
(vi) Helicopter night flying training is
not permitted after 2359 hours Monday to Friday. Helicopter night flying
training is prohibited on Saturday and Sunday.
(vii) Helicopter departures and arrivals
direct to/from the Runway 19 threshold are not permitted between the
hours of 1030 and 1200 on a Sunday.
(viii) The ground running of helicopters
and fixed-wing aircraft for maintenance purposes is restricted to the
hours of 0800 - 2100 Monday to Saturday, and 0900 - 1030 and 1200 -
1800 on Sunday. During the Aerodrome hours of operation all ground runs
are subject to ATC approval.
(ix) Aircraft operations are not permitted
between the hours of 0001 - 0700 Monday to Saturday or between the hours
of 0001 - 0800 and 2200 - 2359 Sunday.
(x) The visual circuit patterns together
with the arrival and departure routes form part of the aerodrome noise
abatement procedures.
(xi) Pilots using the aerodrome are to operate
their aircraft in a manner that will cause the minimum of disruption
and disturbance to local residents.
(xii) Aerobatic manoeuvres are prohibited
within the ATZ.
